Learned from a Bill Monroe recording. A polka danced this fast must be easier than playing it.

I think you’re right, Tom. In Charles Wolfe’s liner notes he says Monroe called this Heel and Toe Polka, but that it sounded more like Jenny Lynd. And what Monroe called Jenny Lynd Polka didn’t sound like that very old polka. I think Monroe was confused and was trying to remember his Uncle Penn’s tunes. This was back in the 70’s.
