"Abe's Retreat" as learned from the fiddle playing of Susan Staton. The original source fiddle recording was played by Emery Bailey, around 1951. Played by Bob Lanham on a 1923 Vega Tubaphone banjo. G Minor Tuning: fDGA#D. The 5th string is lowered to F.

Nice, nice tune and nice to see it's an older one. Always fun to discover the gems of the past. Beautiful clawhammer sound--that mellow mountain clarity I listen for on the BHO jukebox.
