Toss up between #1 & #3. #1 brighter, #3 richer. (gotta admit I prefer richer) #2 is the looser. Love to hear which is which.
Also you're my fav player on Banjo Hangout jukebox but trying to download your masterful pieces never gets me the MP3 file that I crave,

Thanks! The order is: Gibson, Bart Reiter Whyte Layde, Deering Calico. The Whyte Layde openback is my favorite banjo for recording. bhniko requested a comparison test and has a post with discussion of the different tones and set-up options.
