My kind of tune...I'm loving it! I have never heard this before. Where did you find it?

Lovely playing. I've been listening to this, and other hangout tunes, on my iPod for a wee while now and this tune was niggling me, it sounded familiar. Then it dawned on me, I play it on the pipes as a 4/4 march and it's called The Battle of Waterloo over here (Scotland). I've now learned your version on the banjo, thanks.

Thanks for that, bagpie! Nice to know more info on this. You familiar with "Battle of Aughrim?"
Best,

Nice job! Are you playing this on your 11" Spartan with the walnut neck, cherry rim, and 1/4" brass tone ring? No... I'm not a banjo stalker, I was emailing Brooks Masten recently about the sound of your banjo and he gave me the details. I love the sound you get out of this instrument!

Thanks for the details on this banjo. Doubtful I would have as much info - until now! :-)
Cheers,
Barry

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this, and plan on learning this song real soon. Also, the banjo in your pics is beautiful.
