Pity the recording has come out a little muffled for some reason Robert but it still shows what a great voice you have..!! I take it that was you and not Glen... 8-/

(Smile) Yes, that was me; Glen was in his prime when he recorded Phoenix; when he had his TV show......he really sounded good back then....I might redo that one; I recorded it onto my MP3 from a cassette tape I made a few years back...Robert.

I take it you used to be a pro singer then Robert..?...Surely...! As good as any country star.

When I sang on the local Saturday Night Jamboree, I did it for free! It was the first time I had performed in front of a crowd and was good experience singing with a good country band.....my favorite song back then was "For the Good Times"made famous by Ray Price.....I loved that song! In fact, I think I have an old recording of me singing that one; I'll try to find it and post it for awhile; but, it will have that "poor quality" you were talking about from the last two posts. I think that sound happens when it's a "second generation" recording; and not digital quality....like you say, we are gettin' "spoilt" with this new technology mate! ;-) Robert P.S. back in the early 1980s I played banjo for a local Bluegrass Band and we performed around the region at bars and University areas for a couple years; and we did make a little money doing it; and I framed my "first dollar" earned by playing my banjo; my friend Janna was quite proud of her first "earnings" playing too..;-) However, I never quit my "day job" as they say around here! ;-) You have to be really, really good and probably "single" & maybe "lucky" to make a livin' playin' Bluegrass music in this country; there are thousands of excellent young banjo players here just waiting to "hit it big" with a great band.....I never had any desire to be a professional musician or singer....it takes too much commitment and you may die of hunger;-)
