A little pub tune that I like rattling off, played in C.

Like this "snappy" little tune... sounds nice with a little reverberation. Nice tempo and cleanly played.

Thanks Ken, it's an old tune they used to sing alongside a pub piano during WWII with similar ones. I heard it on an old pub piano LP of my Dad's played by Mrs Mills. A fun loving round lady who really let the ivories have it. I bet a pub atmosphere then would have been great..!

Thanks Jimmy, that's very kind of you. I think it's a pretty tune and I played it in C not G as listed..! I'll edit it. It came out a bit muffled as well unfortunately, Seemed ok on my laptop before I downloaded it...
Be great to hear you pros playing some of my listed tunes, show me what can be done with them.. ;-)
Best wishes....David

Besides getting a beautiful sound to your playing, you also get a very "honest" sound, which I really appreciate. Thanks for posting your playing.

Thanks Paul, playing bare finger is great for on here with a mic but I struggle playing with anyone else acoustically.
Best regards....David

Interesting, I've started doing up-picking on the cello banjo with bare fingers. In fact, I just cut the nails on my right hand I'd been keeping long for half a century, as picks. I wanted to get into softer tones so the fingernails went.

PauL

I expect you'll miss the strings altogether now for a few days then Paul.. :-) I get a kind of semi muted sound from just flesh instead of the sharper attack of a pick or nail. I've always had short nails since I grew teeth unfortunately..

Thanks Rick, Mrs Mills always plays upbeat tunes with a bunch of sprinkled notes thrown in, this is one of my favourites with a catchy melody I think. Best wishes......David
