James Rogers is a very popular State Champion Banjo Player from Ft. Meade, Florida. He was and may still be the banjo player for the crowd-favorite Sunny Bluegrass Band. He inspired me to learn to play the banjo. My banjo teachers were Harry Trott, James Dockery and Ron Rimmer in the 1970s.

I like this a lot. Is the title a reference to Patriot's Day in MA? Is there a TAB available?

Hey Kevin, 12th of April was was a song dedicated to James's wife's birthday; Yes, I do have a tab; it was for one of my students; so, it's simple and easy to play; 12th of April is a great song for improvisation; and I like playing it "up-the-neck" too, but I haven't tabbed any of my other ways of playing it yet; but I plan to do that in the future. I have some other tabs, like Wildwood Flower in G, F and C keys....without capo....someday, I'll put those on BanjoHangout; Here's the banjohangout address for my 12th of April tab....hangoutstorage.com/banjohangou...-2666.pdf
I'm pleased you like my play and the song...Robert
