Genre: Bluegrass / Playing Style: Bluegrass (Scruggs)

This tune was a big pop hit in 1960 for the Billy Vaughn Orchestra. Chet Atkins recorded a popular version, as did the PlayALongs (later Jimmy Gilmer & the Fireballs). It was a cha-cha on all of them, but it's now played by bluegrass bands on occasion. I've heard all the recordings of it, and I learned it from a friend's mando-playing father in the 70's. This version is my own. I messed around on this one & had fun with it... used the Prucha Diamond Point.

Hi Mike,

I hope you are good there. Really enjoyed your picking here, and that Prucha... WOW. It does sound excellent. I will know if the RB12 is on or off this Sunday. If it is off, I am having the Prucha professional from Greg. I will advise I came on your recommendation !

I'll let you know....

Thanks to all of you! I love playing this tune. BEEFUS is right- I got that extra finger stickin' out of my head, and it sure helps... Bart- I'm not a good tab writer, but I could give it a shot. You'll b the first to know if I get it down on paper. The Archies haven't shown up yet- probably will, though, day after tomorrow!

I've not heard this played in years.  Brings back memories of some of my first picking buddies.  Really super job, Mike, thanks for posting.

What a nice song! I never heard of it. Who wrote it? Is there a tab somewhere?

The Billy Vaughn Orchestra had a big hit with it in the early 60's as a cha-cha, back when that dance was all the rage. I figured it out myself long ago, but I've heard other banjoists do it rarely. Bill Knopf does a version very similar to mine.
