It's not actually clawhammer.
It's the finger-brush-thumb that Pete Seeger demonstrates on Youtube.

And the head was SO loose that the bridge was resting on the dowel stick.
Apparently, the epoxy doesn't mix well if it's been out in a cold garage overnight.
