Simple strum & Barre Chord - Demo

Harmonica is a great way to start this song. Your melody is slightly different from the way I learned it, but then again, Doc Watson does an incredibly different version learned from his family who were witnesses to the real story. It's on his Legacy CD set.

Thanks Janet. I confess that I just did that as a little demo for another member and a new member, one of which was contemplating harmonica and the other the purchase of a Goodtime. I had just received my Goodtime, that day, and wanted to try it out. It is a very abbreviated version taken from the one done by the Kingston trio. I haven't listened to the Doc Watson recording but do know that the one I used is not historically accurate. I intend to listen to the correct version some time down the road but life has gotten busy for me lately and I've had to cut back on music, for now. I really enjoy all of your recordings/interpretations of various artists. I find it very inspiring.
