This is a follow up to my post about finally becoming a pretty bad banjo player. Starts off with my first lesson in Nov of 2009 with Kent Besocke (a good teacher and a great guy). Starts off with Kent asking me to show him what I know and after that we transition to last weeks lesson (Aug 22 2010) he kicks off the beat with guitar and vocals and that's me playing the banjo-pretty poorly but none the less, I'm pretty happy with my bad playing. Maybe you can get a laugh too. Jack

I thought your playin fine! You have a natural feel for the dotted 8s'.Its great your instructor sings!Your playin got more solid and dynamic as you locked on his vocal syncopation.

You are having fun and that's what it's all about. Bet by now you've got it down pat and are working on more songs.
