This is Tommy Jarrell's "Tempy" played on my hybrid banjo with a Stew Mac rolled brass tone ring and Bill Miller vellum calf skin head, it is a partial fretless with a brass plate where the frets ain't, played over the scoop. It was recorded using a Sterling ST31 small diaphragm condenser mike and a Presonus tube preamp. I pulled the song from Brad Leftwiches book on Round Peak Style Clawhammer. A must have book by the way.
