The other day I put Nylguts on my Enoch Dobson, tuned to somewhere about dGDGA and played through Cumberland gap a few times while watching Derrick on the national broadcaster to get some of the stretching out of the strings. The Nylguts have a very dark sound when tuned so low, and almost woodblock-ish at times. I really like the difference from steel! Unfortunately neither my cheap/old digital camera microphone or my sloppy playing brings out the true sound of the instrument.
