I learned this from a collection of very old Stanley Brothers material, taken from recordings made between 1947-1952. I'm guessing that Pee Wee Lambert was the singer, as it didn't sound like either Ralph or Carter (could be wrong about that). Possibly for that reason, I don't recall them doing the song that much later on in the years, sans Pee Wee.

Very appealing treatment. Great mix of cowboy and old timey sound. Perfect song for a "railroadin' kind of guy". Thanks.
