This tune is from Ken Burns' documentary "The Civil War" done a few years ago. It's played in double C tuning on an early Mike Ramsey made when he was located in Appomattox, VA.

I have'nt seen the the documentary so I never heard the tune before. You've done a very nice job on it, you seem to have a very natural, easy rythmn.

This song dates to the Civil War era, it's an authentic piece of our history. Nice job. That's about the speed it was sung in Ken Burns' doccumentary. There's a recording of the music Burns used, called "Music Of The Civil War." I think Hoyt Axton sings "Rally."
