Fine job for only pickin' a few months. Great singing. Do you finger pick the guitar, because the way you're picking the banjo sounds like you do, nice change. I do some guitar style banjo picking, I tune to a dropped C and alternate the thumb on the 4th and 3rd strings, sounds kinda cool.

Thanks for the comments. I do very little finger picking on the guitar but mostly strumming rhythm chords with a flat pick. When I first picked up the banjo, I found a website that showed me the reverse roll, which I found very easy. I spent the first couple months just learning the banjo chord shapes and teaching myself a couple of simple arrangements of songs I already knew, like this one. I was pretty much not using the 5th string at all, though.
Now I have a good Earl Scruggs songbook that has some nice instruction in it as well, and I'm trying to learn all the different rolls, and using all 5 strings:)
Just finishing learning Cripple Creek this week.
Haven't tried anything but G tuning yet though!
