A Celtic harp tune composed in 1690 by Rory O'Dowd. Learned from a Chieftains recording. Lovingly dedicated to Linda Jo "Bassora" for obvious reasons.

Terry actually "approves" of our version of this tune, Jimmy. Some of my other banjo arrangements of Irish tunes have not gone over with him at all. So, if he says I'm playing them wrong you can bet that I take note. Or else I tell him, "hey, it's the Arkansas version" of Rocky Road To Little Rock or whatever.

Yes, the original must have been in G as that is what the Irish session players play it in. Many of the old harp tunes were, including several O'Carolan compositions. Perhaps he was in a Bluegrass band!( just kidding).
