I love this Christmas hymn. It was written by the late R. Fisher Boyce in a Middle Tennessee milk barn in the early part of the 20th century

Love this sound. I had just started to learn this when I saw the split in my banjo hide. Do you mind telling me what tuning are you using here?

Bonnie - I usually play this tune in double "C" with the 5th string tuned down to E. ie: e C G C D.
But on that recording, it sounds like maybe I played it in standard G tuning. Sorry I don't remember.
