It's a quiet Saturday morning here in Winnipeg. The sky is overcast and it's forecast to rain all weekend. Seemed like a nice opportunity to play my banjo and try recording a track. This arrangement is from Jens Kruger's Homespun DVD. Hope I've played it OK.

Dale, I'm using a viola mute . . . nothing fancy or expensive. I cut the inside "legs" out (it was made for a 4 stringed instrument) and carved two notches in the ends to help it fit over the bridge.

EXCELLENT! I always liked that tune. Very nice arrangement, nicely played! And a clever use of the mute - instead of killing the tone, it added a nice softness to it that made it sound almost guitar-like. Let's hear some more!
