You have the bluegrass feel which is a surprising thing to find in a Brit I might have thought you were from North Carolina. Usually I recommend a turn away from technique and try to steer a student toward working on musical skills. But in your case, work on technique--you are 'way ahead of the game on the music part. I would advise you to play a lot, play along with the masters on CD, And start to pay a lot of attention to clean slides, hammers, PO's, chokes, and especially 1/16th notes. I think you will get there sooner than you think. Good luck.
