well I must admit , this one wasn t easy for me, and took me a while, had to keep tuning both guitar and banjo and in the recording it is obvious they are off key haha the end of this tune is hard for me but it ll be nice to look back in a year or so and see how I play it than

Kris, For someone who has been playing banjo for such a short period of time, your skill level is unheard of; keep it up and no doubt you'll be a great picker! (After having contacted you through the "Friends" contact there doesn't seem to be any way to communicate with you. The BHO email you sent won't allow a reply. Please email me: banjocrazy@centurytel.net

Kris, somehow, I didn't know that these files were here.  Your picking is solid, slow and deliberate for now, but that is good!  Keep doing this, ie, with a metronome, gradually increasing the bpm's.  I do this for my students usually starting at 50 bpm, then 60, 72, 86, and 100. When they get their slides, hammer ons and pull offs quick before the next note, then they are ready to go higher speed.  In bagpipes, the gracenote embellishment is a 1/64th....pretty quick. No doubt with your calloused fingers from guitar, you will be a purty darn good banjer player!  Keep practicin!
