One of our favorites from the Stateline Bluegrass Gospel album. This is one of my favorites to sing with the boys....lot of harmony things happening here. Look out for a 5 part harmony at the end!

Thanks Doug, we felt it was best with just the vocals and only guitar and mando. We tried it other ways but it seemed to loose the power that it has when there were other instruments....one of my favs.

Sounds great! Good singing, and I love the mandolin. Fits perfectly.
Gospel music (especially the old hymns) is my favorite. And Fanny Crosby is my hero.
Thanks for sharing,
John.

Thanks John. Still one of our bands favorites. The story behind the song is a great one.....Fanny dreamed that Christ was walking thru her church, hand picking people to go with him to heaven. Fanny did not want to be left out and cried out for him not to Pass her by. When she woke she wrote the song....she was a very talented songwriter.
Thanks again!!
