I gotta learn this one. Really fine picking, Jane, it's got that real great fishing for catfish along the banks under the willow tree country blues feel to it. You sure you're from New Jersey?

Yes I'm from New Jersey. Many folks think of NJ as The Sopranos/industrial areas/congestion/urban blight/'rust belt etc. But there's actually several New Jerseys. Eastern NJ is 'the stereotype' (and the NJ suburbs east of Philadelphia are too). Northwest NJ is very rural, mountainous. Feels more like New England or The Catskills of lower NY State. Much of south Jersey is The Pinelands, some of which is the last virgin forest east of the Mississippi. The Pinelands are very much rural. Country people, country culture and country music. I live in west Jersey, on the Delaware River, about 40 miles north of Philadelphia (the two ancient canals flank the river). It's rural here. Lots of farming. Very old buildings--'colonial days.' And tons of fishing! There are Bait vending machines next to the soda machines at the local gas stations. The banks of the river and canals are lined with folks fishing. Boats always on the river, fishing. Even a shad fishery, hauling in shad with seine nets.
