Really, great job on this. I always heard it called the Growling Old Man and the Grumbling Old Woman. You really have conjured up a really nice growl in the growling old man's low, coarse part. Some fiddlers would skip the last time through the low part theme, and jump right into the high part- because the old woman, of course, was always interrupting the old man. The fiddle tune as an exercise in narrative music!
