Genre: Unknown/None Chosen / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time
hopefully a tolerably upbeat rendition of the ancient classic carol. Played on the Aluminum Angel, in Open G (gDGBD), capoed up to A (2nd Fret, aEAC#E) Logged as Clawhammer/OldTime, but is actually frailed in a quasi-"jazz" tempo, so I guess its bluegrass or something.

Well, Mark, the Christmas decorations have already been put up in a lot of our local stores, and the catalogs are coming in the mail like locusts, so you're not really early, just entrepreneurial. Anyway, great, job. I still like to hear banjo picked with a real brush, like the old ones used to do. You get that nice knock-down shuffle that doesn't come through in the playing of the more restrained clawhammer stylists. Sometimes I fear we are gradually removing the "country" from Old Time Country Music. Keep dispensing your antedote.
