2007 is the 50th anniversary of my favorite folk group, The Kingston trio. Nick Reynolds, Dave Guard, and Bob Shane are shown on the 1959 cover of Life magazine when they were at their peak. The Trio still performs, although the personnel have changed. Bob Shane still manages the group. They still tour, and have a great site; www.kingstontrio.com

John,
"Wherever We May Go" the documentary is a MUST see. Very nice stuff. "50 Years of Having Fun" is not quite as good, but still a nice a nice piece.
It is sad to see Bob with the oxygen, Nick speaking with the inflection of a man who has had a few strokes, and I am still sad that Dave Guard has gone on...but it is good that Bob and Dave settled their difference before the latter passed.
