My first banjo! I don't remember how I found out Stanley Hicks' address. It was before Internet and e-mail era. It sounds better with steel strings but the neck warped forward pretty badly now

Nice banjo! It looks like a longer neck than mine, but that may be just the photo. I live in NC and learned about Stanley from a friend who had one of his dulcimers. The dulcimer had a paper tag inside with Stanley's address. First I ordered a dulcimer. When I went to pick it up, Stanley sat on his porch and played it... then he went in and got a banjo. I had to have one. Mine is strung with nylgut, although it came with steel strings.
