I had that same banjo back then too. That was one of the mass produced Japanese banjos. Bought in blocks, the buyer could have any name in a decal or applique on the peghead. Mine had a plastic "crown" tacked on it and a star decal as well. It served me well and I kept it a long time as a take it anywhere "beater". Mine did have a resonator (with a gold eagle decal) but I mostly played without it. I would have been dressed about the same and long hair only straight, not curly.
