Steve, Hope it started and you didn't burn your butt. Is it just me or does your fingers look like one to you? Just a little fun I couldn't resist.

Lol, yeah it does look like a butt! I think its started ,, I had my daughter doing the pics & she kinda went wild taking one every couple of seconds. So that may or not be one that started.
I got it down nowthough. soft wood spindle & soft wood fireboard. Some of the instructions say one wood need to be soft,, one hard. All I got was smoke that way.
But this way only takes about 3 minutes. Ive gotta do areal time vid . Ive spoken to people who tried & couldnt ever get one,, thats what I did for a long time.
But once you figure it out its pretty easy.
Probaly a useless skill, but fun nevertheless.
Steve

Hi Ratler, I do some Texas history re-enacting. with the Cane Island vols. I dont even have a rifle, but they let me join cause they wanted some music. I mostly hang around ther camp & play harmonica, spoons & a bit of mando. Its a fun family friendly atmosphere.
I caeve these connected wooden spoons, and Il get a kid hitting their leg and play harp along with them. They have a smile on them that makes your day.
flint & steel , Ive done that. but my striker broke,. I love all that old time stuff, especially when I can go home at night . & shower..Although the campouts with those guys is fun too.
are you a buckskinner?
Steve
