A.A. Farland...you can see the backstrapping and period correct guitar tuners (folk era) . 12 1/2 inch pot. Notice how far the fingerboard extended,so I could REALLY play"up the neck".

Yup, I su pose!! My first banjo teacher was a neighbor named Ed Mann who learned directly from Pete...he taught me alot and helped me get this banjo playable. He had an old Vega with 2 extra frets added like Pete showed in his book,(did it himself), and an old Gibson J-45 that he had always leaning by the fireplace. Every time I'd go over to play with his kids I'd end up playing with him instead! He taught me "Cripple creek","John Hardy" and a few other tunes ..enough to get me playing along to every Seeger, Limeliters, and Kingston trio record I could find. Aloha, PH
