This may sound like a silly question but what kind of banjo is this? I'm guessing it has a custom resonator right?

Its a Gibson 'All American' model and that's the standard reso for that banjo.

I guess I never received this question. Photo taken at the 1966 Roanoke Bluegrass Festival. It is Mike Seeger holding an all original prewar All American PB with modified to 5 string neck.
