This photo was taken after I had played the banjo for Dad. I asked him if he wanted to pick it, and he said yes. He couldn't remember much, but he smiled a lot while he was trying. It was the last time he would ever hold a banjo.

He was way more than a banjo picker. Way more.
I'm sure he's picking yet and on a Paramount that never goes out of tune.
