Forming tension band notches

Posted 12/12/2009 12:45:52 PM

Here's an example of a raw brass tension band with hook notches formed by cutting angled slots where the hooks will go with a 32 tooth hacksaw, using a large file on edge to refine the shape, and polishing to finish the tension band. The photo on the left shows a wider notch for flat stainless steel clips, but the notches can be made to whatever width is needed.
