She is looking great! well done on the restoration, did you get her from the UK or over the pond?

Very nice looking Banjo Becca. Well done on the Restoration. What did you have to do to Her, to get Her to this standard ?

Hi Eddie
I had to make good the fingerboard - it was all dried up and crumbling off, so I added bits of ebony and put a strip of new binding where the original was missing, added a new ebony nut, new frets, new 5th peg and added new hardware - the original was all missing, the main thing was the tension band - it wasn't there, but Mumblepeg here on the hangout was able to help me out and also got a head for me as I couldn't find one the right size in the UK. my other photos show a before and after - you can see what a mess the neck was in. I tried not too do too much to it as I wanted to keep the character there. Fretting was a nightmare because of the softness of the fingerboard, but it's playable - just!
