I have been an Angler since my Dad took me at the age of 6 and i caught a Gudgeon. Since then i have fished all over Europe and i am a member of PAAS. I love to fish but dont have the time, i should make time.

Tagged it and put it back ! This Fish had never been caught before it was treated like a Baby, we weighed it Tagged it, took some Pics, then i even swam out into the Lake to release it, and cradled it for about 5 Minutes so i was sure it was OK. In the past i have sat for 2 Hours in the middle of the Night up to my Arse in Muddy Water with a big French Carp because it was in trouble, till it recovered that Fish must have been well over 30 years old. I still Fish i was on my local Cut last weekend. No Big Cats in there just little Roach about 3" long, but i just love Fishing anywhere.

Biggest Carp i have had is 42lb Mirror, biggest Common 38lb, Got on the front cover of a German Carp Mag with the Common. I am a bit less dedicated these days. As i said i am happy to go on the local Cut and catch Tiddlers. I have fished for 3 weeks, in Freezing conditions in rural France , and not even seen a Fish never mind caught one . Now thats dedication, or stupidity.Sleeping outside for 3 weeeks in those sort of conditions is bad for your Health.

What a fish. Beats anything I ever seen. Man I bet that was a rush getting it in to the bank. Congrats and I offer my respect up to you for being such a great sportsman and good banjo picker as well.

A lot of British Waters have thrown up some really big Fish over the last few Years. Some Guys who Fish at Syndicated Waters can Fish Waters of 40 Acres, that hold only a handfull of Fish, they can Fish for Years without a result, now thats dedication. My Mate In the Cat Picture Alec is really dedicated he has Fished a Water for 2 Season, 4 times a week, for 2 Years, and he has had 1 Fish a high double 19lb i think. But he will carry on till he gets his Prize it holds an upper 30 Common. This lifestyle is not for me anymore. It has cost him about 4 Girlfriends and 2 were abosolute stunners. As i said in the previous post its also bad for your Health. He has terrible Back problems, and Asthma, due to spending half his Life on the Bank, in all sorts of conditions Summer & Winter. and he is only 37.
