played many times there,i really miss is even w/all the quirks & birch.best part was all the muscians i was fortunate to meet & got to see the master alot.

I'll never forget the old barn. When I was a Bluegrass Boy we played there in Oct. '62, that's the first time I played with Roger Smith. Roger was late gettin' there for the first show (probably was workin') so it was just Bill, Jim Maynard, Jim Bessire & I playin' about the first half of the show. When Roger showed up he really woke up the crowd, & me! Great memories!........................Lonnie Hoppers
