The Eagle Mountain Boys

Posted 7/24/2009 5:45:09 AM

This was our band in about 1968/9. That's me on the left with my old beater banjo. On the right, guitar, is Nick Barraclough who later founded Telephone Bill and the Smooth Operators. Nick hosted the weekly country music show on BBC R4 for many years until retiring due to ill health. On bass is Rod Halls, who later trained as a teacher and became a very successful Headmaster. Note the string ties and my pre-bearded face.
