Ah, they all have different numbers of strings?! I can see 4, 6 and 8 strings. How are those instruments played?
I assume they are picked with a plectrum? What I like most is the fact that the fingerboard covers a part of the head. That is unique!

Yes I belive they were mostly played with a pick, I think anyway, I`m not an expert. Pretty cool looking banjos.
