Can't quite make out the name, but I think it might be Mike Hopley. A Google search suggests that he might be a banjo player/luthier from New Zealand. The search continues.

I'm actually looking for my friend Mike Hopley on the net...he is from New Zealand, he plays banjo and that sure looks like his handwriting. Cheers
