This is a picture of a picture of a two necked and two faced banjo sent to me by Lew Stern. It came from Ed Haggard's banjo collection. Note that the necks have the 5th string pegs facing each other so the banjo must be flipped over to play the "other" banjo.

My grandfather actually has a very similar banjo. My mother is currently trying to get it appraised. I posted some information on reddit. Link:

Do you know how much a piece like this is worth?

Pooret,
It is such an odd piece that its value will be determined by who wants it bad enough to pose a price for it. Even in the banjo world, it is a bit of a oddball. Interesting piece though. I looked at the picture of the headstock that you posted on Reddit and just from the headstock and quality/style of the inlay it shows that it was not made by an amateur. If you note on my other pictures I have another picture or two of another double necked banjo also, that one was home made by my friends grandfather. I think that banjo collectors or stringed instrument museums are your bet bet if you insist on selling it. If it was your grandpas banjo, I would probably keep it as sentimental value is priceless. I don't think you will get rich selling it

Thanks for your great advice. At this point, it's more curiosity than wanting to sell.
