This is a picture of a picture of a two necked and two faced banjo sent to me by Lew Stern. It came from Ed Haggard's banjo collection. Note that the necks have the 5th string pegs facing each other so the banjo must be flipped over to play the "other" banjo.

I once owned one like this (maybe this one). I bought it from a lady in Waxahachie, Texas for $75.00. It belonged to her grandfather from Tennessee. She had it hanging on the wall with a plastic flower arrangement in sied the pot through a tear in one of the heads. It had a wooden tension hoop on both sides. I put 2 fiber skyn heads on it and some tuning keys as it only had 2 keys on it. I had it for years, played Cipple Creek on it on stage at the Canton, Texas blugrass festival. Double necked-double headed- with both necks frettless. A real conversation piece. The only other one I'd ever seen was in Roy Acuff Museum around 1970. Finally traded it for somthing I wanted more and still have----Jim
