In Chuck Lee's Ovilla,TX, shop (photo by Chuck Lee): Day-one of Lee banjo ownership (9/18/08). Chuck is great to deal with and made a terrific banjo for me. The inlaid star (for Texas, where I live) in the peghead is made of dogwood (for North Carolina, where I grew Up). It was nice to see the Lee family in the audience at one of my performances in Waxahachie, TX, not too long ago. That brings to mind a story about the Texas Ranger who was based in Waxahachie. It took him five years to learn how to spell the town's name. But he resigned when they transferred him to Nacogdoches.
