This 1929 Vega Tubaphone # 3 came in Nice France in 1944 with a G I who sold it to a local jazz musician ; he converted it to a plectrum ; now the Bj is back to the 5 nylon strings . all is original exept the 5th string tuner .

yes original with a heel cutting . YES " c ' est bon " the sound is very typical & incredible even wityh the nylon strings
