Hi Ed,
My cousin has been a wildlife rehabber for about 10yrs now. While visiting one week, she woke me up at 1:30am when she got home from her nursing job, to ask my help in carrying a full grown mama possy that had just been hit by a car up to the back porch. In its pouch were about a dozen babies, only hours old. We worked on them all night...some were already gone but 3 made it through to the morning. To see the little thing wigglin' with no fur, eyes tightly shut was amazing in itself. Needless to say none survived. It was for me, an enlightning, educational experience, except I was good for sh*t the rest of the day because I was so upset that we couldn't save them.
The teeth on them scare the daylights out of me every time I see them, but that's one pretty picture you have there.
...keep on rescue-ing!!
