Aborite fingerboard

A closer view of the Aborite fingerboard. Arborite, also known as Formica, are the patented trade names for "plastic laminate". It has been commonly used for kitchen and bathroom counter tops since the mid 1950's.

I just HAD to see the photo, since I had no idea what the material you named, IS.

Looks like what we had at one time as paneling on our bathroom walls.

Well, I am a great believer in using whatever is available, to make what one wishes to have.

Laminex!(in AU anyway) great stuff... i think my frypan banjo gets one of those.... now if i can just decide between the balck gold fleck and the immitation teratzo?
