hi Dave, yes, it flows near our home also. Where I'm standing in the picture is about 100 miles from my home. Often in the spring the water is too high to walk across where it comes out of Lake Itasca, even with the stones that form somewhat of a bridge.

Nice picture Dave. That is a neat place..... very humble beginnings for such a mighty river!
By the way, my parents accidently locked me in the car right near where you are standing when I was about 5 month old. I think they secretly believe that the traumatic event eventually led me to torture the world with the banjo.
