Regarding helen osborne's banjo... My grandma's sister was Helen Osborne Austin (Katy Hill in the old Monroe band.) She passed away in about 2008. We asked her daugher, Sharon about that banjo, and it might still be in the possession of Helen's son. I don't know much about the banjo, other than it might still be somewhere in the family. I'll ask my Mom to ask sharon about the Banjo's tone ring. My email is jsdyson@yahoo.com. I started doing some lookin' into Aunt Helen's history, and find this to be incredibly interesting.
