Just bought this today (08/08/08) for $50 US. Figure I'll be using it for all my mixing & recording.

I have the Fostex MR-8 MKII and it is pretty good. I forget what the differences are, but make sure you go to the Fostex web site and download the most recent firmware and versions of whatever software they have. There are also some useful forums around.
