He needs restringing. Our plumber (also a musician)used to do small jobs for us and only ever asked to play the bass as payment. Fair exchange I think.

awwz my mate would love to get his hands on a nice bass like this hehe he has a 3/4 size doublebass right now, with my banjos, resonator guitar, violin, and his doublebass, celtic guitar, uke we have quite a roomfull of loved instruments x)
