I don't remember the park being there when I lived in SLC ('68-'71)

Old Deseret Village/This is the Place Heritage Park has been around since the early 80's or so. My wife and I have been volunteering as costumed historical interpreters for several years now. it has been a great experience. I'm not a great musician but I've been taking banjos up the past three or four years and playing when requested. It has been a confidence builder for me.
For any of you who live near or are planning a visit to the Salt Lake City area, you should put the Park on you list of places to see. It is best from May to September, and around Christmas, when it is manned by the interpreters.
